Quilled Unicorn by plushunicorn Quilled Unicorn by plushunicorn
Quilling is some sort of British folk art that nobody but a teacher would care about. It's taking little strips of paper (in this case) and rolling them up and pasting it down. I actually like the result but it took 20+ HOURS! My fingers tingle too. I never want to do something like this again. The sheer time spent on it just isn't worth it. Technically This isn't a 'true' quilling either acording to my teacher because the stars and the moon and the hair isn't rolled paper, It's individual strips manipulated into a shape...

I don't feel good...

Your Teacher is absolutely incorrect, I taught myself how to quill! And every instruction book I have ever read shows quilling isn't all about rolling. I am wanting to do a unicorn for my niece who is 5. And in even in books yours is the absolutely the best I have ever seen. Congratulations! I would love to see you attempt the plush one in quilling despite what your teacher thinks. Art is in the eye of the beholder!
